What is Follistatin 344 Nouveaux?

Folistatin is an activin-binding glycoprotein that is produced in almost all body tissues. This agent is especially popular among bodybuilders, because as a peptide encoded by the gene and FST, it directly fights myostatin. Follistatin is a single chain gonadal protein that specifically inhibits the release of follicle stimulating hormone. A single FST gene encodes two isoforms, FST317 and FST344 containing 317 and 344 amino acids, respectively, resulting from alternative precursor mRNA splicing. Fighting myostatin is important because increasing its presence in the body is a direct cause of age and hereditary muscular dystrophy. The reduction of myostatin using folistatin does not cause undesirable health consequences, so the effect on the removal of myostatin from the body can be promising in the treatment of muscular dystrophy and sports medicine, as well as in zootechnics. Obviously, follistatin significantly accelerates the growth of lean tissue mass. Myostytana itself forms in the muscles and then releases into the bloodstream, ensuring its action on the muscles by binding to ACVR2B receptors. Ultimately, Folistatin is a secreted protein that binds to ligands of the TGF-Beta family and regulates their activity by inhibiting their access to signal receptors. How does Follistatin 344 work?

He is also involved in polycystic ovary syndrome. Follistatin also inhibits pituitary synthesis and follicle stimulating hormone secretion. Muscle growth is possible due to the unique mechanism of action and joint stimulation of steroids. This agent works only on muscle tissue, and its use will not multiply other tissue cells. In addition, it supports hyperplasia, i.e. the growth of new muscle cells and active hypertrophy, which means enlargement of muscle cells. It also has a strong anabolic effect, and at the same time is devoid of androgenic activity. Follistatin also has the ability to increase muscle strength and improve the performance of the entire body, especially muscles. It has a strong anti-aging effect and significantly affects the rejuvenation of all tissues in the body. It also promotes fat burning. In addition to inhibiting myostatin degeneration, follistatin also inhibits pituitary synthesis and secretion stimulating hair follicle stimulation (FSH). Personal high FSH levels may indicate that testicular function is abnormal; this condition limits muscle growth, regeneration and normal hormonal function. However, too low FSH levels can have a negative effect on health and reproductive capacity. Although some myostatin inhibitors such as trichostatin A require daily administration, elevated FS344 levels have been observed up to 15 months after initial injection. How to use Follistatin 344?

Optimally, the treatment should last thirty days. It is recommended to add two milliliters of water for injection in the bottle and wait until the lyophilized precipitate is completely dissolved. We do one injection a day, preferably in the morning. The dose is one hundred mcg injected subcutaneously into the oblique abdominal muscles. After ten days of use, take a ten-day break and then return to the cycle. Sticking to the recommended dose, we should not experience any side effects of using the product. The safe dose is two hundred mcg per day. However, we are not allowed to increase the daily dose provided without consulting a doctor. It may cause health consequences. In a study in which 37 candidate genes were tested for linkage and association with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) or hyperandrogenemia in 150 families, evidence was found for linkage between PCOS and follistatin.

Follistatin binds directly to activin and functions as an activin antagonist. specific inhibitor of the biosynthesis and secretion of pituitary follicle stimulating hormone (fsh).

Follistatin 344 is a sterile, non-pyrogenic, white lyophilized powder intended for subcutaneous or intramuscular injection, after reconstitution with sterile Water for Injection (0,3% m-Cresol).

Mechanism of action

Follistatin is being studied for its role in regulation of muscle growth, as an antagonist to myostatin (also known as GDF-8, a TGF superfamily member). Lee & McPherron demonstrated that inhibition of GDF-8, either by genetic elimination (knockout) or by increasing the amount of follistatin, resulted in greatly increased muscle mass.In 2009, research with macaque monkeys demonstrated that regulating follistatin via gene therapy also resulted in muscle growth and increases in strength.

A study has also shown that increased levels of follistatin, by leading to increased muscle mass of certain core muscular groups, can increase life expectancy in cases of spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) in animal models.

It is also being investigated for its involvement in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), though there is debate as to its direct role in this infertility disease.

Adverse reaction

Follistatin appears to have minimal side effects, may cause skeletal muscle growth of up to 400% (based on the gene knockout experiments) and acts fast.

Instructions for reconstitution

The injection is given into the sub-cutaneous layer which includes adipose tissue (fat).

If you are using insulin syringes which have short needles, you will need to enter the skin at 90°. to the skin, otherwise you can inject as shown in the illustration above with a 29 or 30 gauge, 0.5" needle.


Recommended dosage of Follistatin 344: 50 – 100 mcg once per day.

Follistatin 344 is a recombinant version of natural follistatin, which is produced by multiple tissues in humans and other animals. Follistatin is made up of 344 amino acids and acts as a myostatin inhibitor supplement. Myostatin is a negative regulator of muscle growth found in the blood and produced in muscle cells. Studies have shown considerable promise for enhancing muscle mass and strength in animal models and follistatin is being studied for its therapeutic potential in human muscle diseases [1]. Several myostatin-binding proteins capable of regulating myostatin have been found, but follistatin is an especially potent blocker of myostatin and has even shown muscle-enhancing effects beyond those predicted by myostatin inhibition [2]. Myostatin signalling acts via the activin receptor type IIB on muscle cells, triggering a cascade of biological signalling events inside the cell [3]. These events cause changes in the expression of specific genes that regulate muscle growth [4, 5]. Blocking myostatin with follistatin will therefore increase muscle mass and inhibiting this pathway results in increased muscle growth and increased muscle strength. These effects have been shown in mice, where blocking the activity of myostatin led to increased skeletal muscle mass without any serious side effects [6]. This method was also found to be safe and durable in a subsequent clinical trial [7]. Pronounced and durable increases in muscle size and strength have also been seen in non-human primate studies [1]. A recent human clinical trial delivered follistatin 344 to six patients with a muscle wasting disease called Becker muscular dystrophy [8]. The follistatin protein was administered by direct bilateral intramuscular quadriceps injections and clinical benefits were observed in patients receiving follistatin 344. These patients showed reduced muscle fibrosis, reduced central nucleation and more normal muscle fibre size distribution. The treatment also increased muscle growth at the higher doses when muscle size was compared before and after treatment with follistatin 344.

Follistatin 344 is usually administered as a genetic therapy in human and animal studies, which provides high and sustained levels of follistatin protein. However, as a reconstituted protein it can be administered intramuscularly at either 100 mcg, 200 mcg or 300 mcg per day and should be cycled over 10 days with a 3-month break. Follistatin 344 should be administered locally to the muscle that you wish to build and the daily dose can be split over several individual muscles. Once dissolved in BAC water the protein is stable for one week at 4-8°C.

Follistatin 344 has shown minimal side effects even when tested at high and prolonged doses during genetic therapies in animal and human studies. However, mild side effects may include muscle soreness or swelling post-workout, as well as temporarily weakened ligaments and tendons.
